這些外來者，用自己國家的想法與觀念去要求當地的原住民要這麼做。突然間，這些健壯、皮膚黝黑的原住民被要求穿上衣服，雖然，這並不適合炎熱、常常下著雷陣雨的夏威夷人呀！
這讓我聯想起，早期台灣蘭嶼的原住民，不也被國民政府要求，不可以穿著丁字褲嗎？試想，穿著西裝褲下海捕魚的情景吧！根本不方便工作的呀！
